At Gro-T Kennels our mission is to produce amazing puppies from health-tested parents, raise them to be loving companions, and send them into the world to heal hearts, steal kisses, and love their families. As part of this mission, we occasionally have adult dogs that we also send into the world to bless loving families. As much as we would love to keep every dog that comes into our program, we cannot keep all of them due to facility size and wanting the best for all of our dogs. Our retired dogs thrive in new homes where they can experience the individual love and care they have previously had to share with the other dogs in our home. In their new home, these retired dogs enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle, filled with attention, play, and companionship, without dealing with puppies and the other stresses associated with a breeder's home. They typically adapt well to family environments, bringing joy and loyalty to their new owners. As with all of our puppies, we only choose the best homes for our dogs, until that home comes along these retired adults will be living with us and receiving all the love and attention that we can give them! Each adult dog will go home with a microchip, limited club registrations if applicable, up to date vaccinations, will be spayed/neutered and have a 90 day health guarantee. Rey
Rey is a purebred Portuguese Water Dog; she was born in May 2019. She weighs around 45 lbs and is 21 inches tall. She is fully health-tested and has had four litters here at Gro-T Kennels. She is affectionate and spunky. She has moderately high energy, is people focused, yet happy to provide herself with entertainment. Rey has a higher prey drive and loves to work, she loves to catch mice and chase other wildlife. She is very intelligent and eager to learn, however can be stubborn and determined. She loves to carry around her stuffed animals that we affectionately call her "babies". Rey would thrive in an active, hunting or working home where she would happily participate in any adventure you plan!
Leia
Leia is a purebred Portuguese Water Dog; she was born May 2019. She typically weighs around 40 lbs and is 19 inches tall. She is fully health tested and has had two litters here at Gro-T Kennels. Leia is sweet and snuggly, she is lower energy and is happy just hanging out and cuddling. She will entertain herself, but would much rather have her human's attention. She is a little on the chunky side as she is an easy keeper. She enjoys being in the outdoors, playing fetch and hiking, but is just as happy hanging around the house. She is intelligent and easy to train, she is food motivated and will do anything for a treat. Leia would do well in most any pet home, especially if there are kids, she loves kids!
